About Me

My name is Kiara Bramley and I am a Counselling Psychologist based in Pretoria, Gauteng. As a therapist, I believe in the strength of the human spirit and the power of awareness to transform lives. Often, the way we perceive ourselves and the world shapes how we experience it — and when we begin to see with greater clarity, we open the door to change and growth. My passion lies in helping individuals uncover their inner strengths, navigate life's adversities— whether it be anxiety or depressive symptoms, losing a loved one, burnout and stress, or feelings of being overwhelmed or lost — to reconnect with a sense of meaning and purpose. I view therapy as a collaborative journey — one where insight, compassion, and practical tools come together to foster resilience, self-understanding and problem solving. We are not meant to face life's challenges alone. Through a supportive and reflective space, my approach aims to utilize evidenced-based methods to guide you toward overcoming what stands in the way of a more grounded, fulfilled, and purposeful life.

How does it work

Therapy sessions vary from 50 to 80 minutes and can be in English or Afrikaans. An intake session is used to determine the presenting problems faced by the client as well as planning for future sessions (i.e. number of sessions and intervention strategy for client).

Sessions are tailored to each client's unique needs, using informed, evidence-based techniques and interventions. Therapy provides a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore your experiences, gain clarity and understanding, and develop awareness, practical skills, and healthier ways of coping. It offers an opportunity to pause, reflect, and make sense of your inner world — promoting psychological wellbeing. Mental health affects every area of functioning — from how we manage stress and experience our physical health, to how we connect with others and perform at work — engaging in therapy can strengthen your capacity to navigate challenges while fostering a more authentic and healthy sense of self.
